We are excited to announce that Cliniko is now the only practice management platform officially partnered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP for short).

The CSP has over 60,000 members in the United Kingdom and is the trade union and professional body for physiotherapy professionals in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

This is our largest partnership to date in terms of members served, and the second partnership we have formed with a national physiotherapy organisation (we’re also partnered with the Australian Physiotherapy Association).

Beyond the size of the organisation, we support the CSP’s aims to “build a thriving physiotherapy community, champion physiotherapy, and support members in their professional and working lives.” You can read more about their objectives here.

Here’s how we earned this designation and what it means for UK physiotherapists who use Cliniko.

Why did the CSP choose Cliniko?

We’re not just the only practice management software to partner with the CSP, we also happen to be the first. In fact, the CSP developed a practice management system approval process just for us. But that doesn’t mean they went easy on us!

Cliniko was carefully scrutinised by practising physiotherapists on behalf of the CSP. They not only took a hands-on approach to testing Cliniko but also asked us plenty of questions about how it can be used in various real-life scenarios.

The assessment covered a lot of ground. Here are some of the key features of the Cliniko system:

A flexible, cloud-based system

Cliniko can be used from any device or location, so long as there’s a stable internet connection. That means physios can use Cliniko from home, their practice, or even on the go, and update records and notes in real-time.

Extensive health records

Cliniko was designed with the daily needs of physiotherapists in mind, so our treatment notes are fully customisable and can be tailored to each practice’s unique needs.

Physios can draw directly on body charts within Cliniko using their mouse, finger, or stylus. It’s also possible to upload other files directly to patient records, like x-rays, documents, and letters.

Cliniko also supports fully customisable patient forms, which can be used for new patient intake, questionnaires, and follow-up surveys. Once a patient submits a form, it’s automatically added to their patient record, eliminating the need for tedious data entry. Patients can also sign the forms digitally, too!

Empowering connected apps

Physios can add even more functionality to their Cliniko account through our connected apps, including a wide choice of exercise rehabilitation apps designed for prescribing exercise programmes to patients.

Trustworthy patient security

Most important of all, Cliniko is secure with end-to-end encryption protecting the transmission of your sensitive patient data. Cliniko is also UK GDPR compliant and follows the guidelines laid out by the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).

We back up all data stored in Cliniko daily, in multiple physical locations.

Free support

Cliniko not only has the tools to help practices succeed, but our friendly team is here to help if you ever need us.

What does this partnership mean for you?

We’ve been helping physiotherapists across the world manage and grow their businesses for over a decade, and we’re excited to now be directly supporting the leading physiotherapy organisation in the UK.

If you’re not already using Cliniko, you can sign up for an extended trial via the CSP and follow these steps to get started setting up your Cliniko account.
