If your practice is located in Alberta, Canada, you may be required to have an Information Management Agreement (IMA) with Cliniko.

That’s no problem! Cliniko is compliant with Alberta’s Health Information Act, and we’ve made it really simple to get your IMA on file.

Just follow this link to get your Information Management Agreement. It’s already signed and ready to go.

In the document, you’ll find specific instructions on how to execute the agreement. It’s pretty simple, though. Just fill it out, sign it, and send it to us. That’s it!

Remember, though, this agreement is only for some practices located in Alberta, Canada. Not every modality needs one. Take a look at section 1(1)(f) of the Health Information Act to find out if your practice qualifies.

When you’re managing legal matters, it’s always a good idea to check with your professional organisation or legal advisor. They’ll be great sources of information and likely able to answer your questions.

You can also head to our help site to get a little more information about the IMA. If you have any trouble accessing the agreement or getting it sent back to us, just reach out to our friendly support staff. They'll be happy to help!
