Email scheduling tool for Cliniko

MyHealthFollowup allows users to create fully customised HTML templates that include links, externally hosted images, and key dynamic values such as appointment type, appointment details, practitioner details, clinic information, and important patient information.

Branded email communications and newsletters

The app connects directly to Cliniko using a clinic-provided API key. MyHealthFollowup syncs the clinic’s appointment types, active practitioners, businesses, appointments, and the patient details required to safely prepare scheduled emails. This allows clinics to use Cliniko as the source of truth while sending more flexible and branded email communications.

The main benefit of integrating with Cliniko is email automations can be created around real appointment activity without needing manual exports, spreadsheets, Zapier flows, or duplicated patient lists. Clinics can create rules based on appointment times, types, and practitioners, then automatically prepare emails for matching appointments.

MyHealthFollowup also allows clinics to take control of their newsletters by sending custom updates to their Cliniko patient base. It respects patients’ marketing preferences, automatically synchronises campaign opt-outs with Cliniko and additionally allowing clinics to narrow the audience using the same filters available to automations.

The platform has over 100 built-in templates for different clinic types and also provides the ability to import custom HTML templates, including those exported from Mailchimp, Beefree, or another email design tool. These templates can be personalised with information directly from your clinic.

Easy to use

The app was built around ease of use. Adding key clinic fields is as simple as dragging them onto the rendered email template. It also provides several simple templates for basic functionality without the complexity of custom templating.

Once templates are created, they can be scheduled to send to patients any number of days, hours, or minutes before or after an appointment–even on the same day of the appointment! Schedules can also be applied to all relevant previous appointments where appropriate.

Before sending, MyHealthFollowup checks the current Cliniko appointment and patient state and emails are not sent for cancelled appointments or patients without usable email details. Upcoming emails can be monitored at any time and can be actively cancelled or retried.
