Their story

In 2022, while running her podiatry clinic, co-founder Lucia realised something had to change. She and her team were regularly staying late—buried in paperwork and scrambling to finish notes.

After testing several note-taking solutions, Lucia discovered a common problem. While many tools could generate decent notes, they often lacked a proper integration. In the end, she was spending just as much time creating templates or transferring those notes as if she’d written them from scratch.

That’s when she joined forces with her fiancé, Chris—a software engineer and AI expert. Together, they set out to build something better: an AI scribe designed specifically around the day-to-day workflow of allied health professionals.

From the start, seamless integration with Cliniko was a key focus. Their goal was to create a tool that fitted naturally into a practitioner's daily routine, reduced the admin burden, and helped reclaim countless hours.

Originally launched as Clinic Notes AI, the product has since become Arlo. The name change was made to avoid confusion with other similarly named tools, while keeping the same mission: helping clinicians spend less time on admin and more time with patients.

How it works

Start by recording your consultation and Arlo will pull information into your preloaded template, creating clear, and structured notes that you can edit as needed.

You can:

• Upload audio files and documents for note generation

• Add your own letterhead and signature to documents
• Push notes back into Cliniko as draft or final in one click
• Import your existing Cliniko templates
• Work offline if needed
• See note status across your day and track how much time you’re saving

Putting security and privacy first

Arlo prioritises the security and privacy of your data. The platform uses advanced encryption and strict access controls to safeguard personal information, ensuring compliance with global privacy standards like GDPR and Australia's APP. Users retain full control over their data and all audio files are deleted as soon as your note is generated.
